My mission is to focus small and spread the word of financial independence. I will seek the families looking to break the chains of consumer debt and unnecessary spending that our generation has become numb to. There are enough bloggers and podcasters that if someone who searches for material online will find the information they need. My attention will be more at the personal level, where I can motivate friends and family with the knowledge and experience I have gained from research and life itself. The investing content I can share is only piggy backed off of the podcasts and blogs I follow daily. I am not a finance professional but I’ve had success paying off large amounts of debt in little time. I am a highly motivated individual who is currently striving towards a high savings rate that will push my family into the promise land of being financially free!
A great question that I get asked is why am I opening up my personal finances to the public. There is a multi-layered answer that goes into this and if you read the “About Me” page, you will have a good understanding of who I am and what I believe. I truly love helping people and I want to direct those who seek personal freedom to my page as a monthly reminder that they are not alone. I will be sharing many success stories throughout these upcoming months but I will also share the moments I stumble and make ill advised purchases. My goal is not to be perfect but instead, it is to stay focused and avoid those emotional purchases that’s ingrained into our society. With the motto “Enjoy today while preparing for tomorrow,” I want myself and my readers to feel that they can purchase items for today and not feel bad about it. This is a long journey and if you can reward yourself appropriately throughout these years, you won’t get burned out like those who are becoming extreme minimalists trying to make up for lost time of investing. The goal is not achieved by doing extraordinary things. It’s the ability to perfect the small details in your life to achieve greatness you seek.
The other reason I am sharing this information with everyone is for my own personal accountability. To this day, I have the knowledge and information that one needs to invest and become successful but at times, I find myself thinking about purchases that I know are not wise. With sharing my stories and my purchases, this will allow me to follow my teachings and become the investor I want all of you to become. The apple in Adam and Eve’s garden comes in many different shapes and sizes. The ability to recognize this concept and deflect that apple is what makes those who are successful, succeed and the inability to recognize that apple is what holds those who fail, back.
I want to be here for those of you who are seeking financial freedom but may want to stay anonymous. The reason I am keeping this website and posts private is not because we have a large net worth that I am trying to protect, but it’s for the privacy of my family. However, I will share this site with the friends and family I am actually working with because I know they are serious about financial independence and they will use this information to help themselves throughout their journey.
